Photographer in Rancho Cucamonga: Miller Family

My husband's sister's family lives in beautiful Orange County!  But on their way to go on a vacation for spring break, they stopped by to get their family photos taken!  (Which were actually supposed to happen in the fall and never did, lol).  We went up Lytle Creek, which has become one of my favorite shooting spots--as long as the wind isn't too crazy.  Their oldest, Joshua, starts school at BYU in the fall and they wanted to get a family photo before he left!  This is a stellar family with a lot of extracurricular activities, obligations and responsibilities yet always make time for family and friends.  They are fun and I just love them to pieces!

San Diego Temple Wedding: Lisa + Dallin

Well what can I say, my sister is an absolutely gorgeous bride!  And her groom ain't too shabby either!  ;)  I'd love to share their love story, it's so cute!

Lisa grew up in Oklahoma and graduated high school there.  Dallin grew up in San Diego then during high school moved to Utah.  When he turned 19 he decided to go on a Mormon mission--meaning he would dedicate two years of his young life to missionary service.  Just a quick little Mormon lesson here--"serving" a mission literally means dedicating two years!  So no dating, no going out, no talking to your friends and family on the phone (except to your mom on mother's day and your family on Christmas), you pay your own way, and you literally eat and sleep missionary work--teaching, serving, planning, studying.  You don't choose where you go on your mission!  You are assigned an area.  Many missionaries learn another language as part of their experience!  Imagine the immense personal, spiritual growth these young men and women achieve!  My husband always describes his mission to Brazil as the worst and best two years of his life.

Anyways, Dallin ended up serving his mission in Oklahoma.  My parents met him as he taught some of their friends and ate dinner with him.  They were very impressed with Dallin, as were many other people in the area!  Lisa never met Dallin while he was on his mission.

Fastforward.  Lisa graduated and started school at BYU.  A common friend of Lisa and Dallin's who was also from Oklahoma introduced them.  According to the told story, Dallin asked Lisa to go to Real Salt Lake (pro soccer) game with him as a first date.  Lisa DECLINED because she was already going to a BYU football game with her friends.  Dallin expressed to me later that he never thought it would work out if she was choosing football and friends over soccer and him!  (Dallin is a soccer player at BYU and intends to go pro in a couple years!)  He gave up on dating Lisa immediately, however, he invited her to a party he was throwing soon after.  Apparently he was trying real hard to "work-it" with another girl, but Lisa was around throwing his game off.  After that they started dating, and in just three short months they knew they were supposed to be together forever and got engaged!

Lucky for me, they decided to get married in San Diego!  It was close to home for me, even though the rest of my family was spread out over Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.  Lucky for me again, I got lots of wonderful visitors.

Check out their adorableness.

Redlands Temple Wedding: Kajsa + Art

Kajsa and Art met at their church.  They had many friends cheering for them to date, and once it finally happened I believe everyone was ecstatic for them!  These two are an amazing pair!  They are hard-working and down-to-earth.  They are some of the nicest and most genuine people you will ever meet.  I asked them what they hoped I'd capture most about them on their wedding day and they both agreed that they wanted their photos to show how happy they are together.  And they truly are.  Both just glow when they are around each other!

The wedding day was perfectly perfect!  The blue skies but not too hot.  Wonderful friends and family who adore and support them.  And not the mention the details of the reception.  Between Kajsa, her mother and their dear friends, they pulled off the most incredible DIY details.  Check them out!  They had so many meaningful details as well that I absolutely loved.  Three generations of dresses from her mother, to her grandmother to her great-grandmother were displayed along with photos of each of them in their wedding gowns.  Also there were several items that had to do with Germany.  Kajsa speaks German and loves German things.  You'll notice her German cake topper as well as a picture with German wording found at a vintage store that she based her colors around.  Absolutely gorgeous.

Enjoy these two, happy lovebirds.  They are too cute!
