These are mine. Number 3 is on the way and I'm wondering how I'll handle 3 kids, 4 and under???
It is SO hard to photograph my own kids! Other people's kids seem to be so much more cooperative! My little lady was not cooperative with her individual pics (thus I have nothing to show of just her) but my little guy was great! Love this two little monkeys!

While visiting my family for Christmas, I was able to take some pictures of my sister, Michelle, and her family. They are so cute! I just love baby Savannah. I'm sure she and my little guy Michael will be the best little friend-cousins. =) They even were playful with each other at this age, I couldn't believe it! They'd follow each other around and play with the same toys. I miss this family already!

Aren't these two a perfect pair? They are so cute together and oh so in love. I can't describe how fun the dancing at the reception was. I swear I was meant to be Hispanic. Once that Latin music started I was wanting to shake my hips too! (Don't worry, I didn't.) But I loved how everyone got dancing--old and young!

This is such a wonderful family! I was so glad they asked me to take their photos. After 3 boys, this family excitedly welcomed a little lady into their home. And you can only imagine how much she is protected by her brothers and adored by her parents. I love how these turned out!

I must admit this was one of my favorite shoots yet. The children were so cooperative and sweet. The sun was low and warm, and the scenery was perfect. I worked on techniques I haven't always been too comfortable with and loved the results! I have so many beautiful pictures to post!

Love this sweet family. Mom and I are good friends, and my daughter Mylie and her oldest daughter are great friends too! The colorful leaves were just what we were hoping for, and the kids had so much fun throwing them in the air! Look how happy they are!

I love her tousled hair, her sweet dimples, her bright eyes, and her crazy personality. We weren't out to take pictures for my little lady, we were actually out snapping photos for a friend (see below). But her desire for attention won me some willingness to pose and some darn cute smiles if I do say so myself!

Thanks for all who participated in my first contest. The winner is...my MOM! =) Just kidding. My mom is probably my biggest fan, and always comments on my pictures. Let me tell you how I got the winner. I numbered your comments, 1-8, including my mom's, just for fun. Then I had my husband draw a number. And of course he drew number 3, which was indeed my mom. I've fallen in love with the location, and what makes it even better is beautiful families like this one! Thanks for letting me take your family pictures Gabee! And by the way, Gabee has the most amazing hair of anyone I've ever known. Long, silky, dark, thick and gorgeous!

I was a little concerned about the lighting this evening. Dark clouds, cold. But the sun shone perfectly, peeked out from the clouds and created the warmest lighting. It was absolutely beautiful, and the sky in the pictures looks amazing to me.

To start off, these first 2 pictures ended up being my favorites. I know they're pretty much the same, but seriously, which one is better? I can't decide. They both have something unique about them. They even look amazing in black and white. I want to hear when you think. Comments are welcome.

This day was absolutely lovely. DeDe was so calm and collected, and isn't she a gorgeous bride? Perry made me laugh all day. What a personality! We had so much fun and I was so lucky to be able to capture their wedding day.

Since I had my baby boy 5 weeks ago, the camera has been neglecting my 2 year old girl! So we went to get some photos of her today. Unfortunately she takes after both my husband and me...when the sun is out, she can't help but squint. Even with my husband holding a shade over her head, she could barely look up long enough to smile--and yes, the squint was still there. I love these pictures, but I am a little disappointed that we didn't get any pictures featuring her beautiful blue eyes. Fortunately she is wearing an adorable dress given to her by my lovely Aunt Donna!

AND thanks to my good friend Stacey Bishop, I have changed my editing techniques and am loving how much better my pictures are looking. She is an amazing photographer and is even offering workshops now, which I highly recommend--for beginning OR experienced photographers.
